Ethics committee shall be responsible for providing ethical guidelines and ethical approval for research in Obstetrics and Gynaecology and allied sciences and for advising the council and the members on all ethical and legal matters. SLCOG ethics committee consists of Professor Prasantha Wijesinghe(Chairman), Professor Hemantha Senanayake, Dr.Deepal Weerasekera, Dr.Nalinda Rodrigo, Dr.Lakshman Senanayake, Dr.Sanath Lanerolle, and Dr. Samanthi Premaratne.
