Second regional follow-up workshop of FIGO initiative for the prevention of unsafe abortion was held at Mount Lavinia Hotel, on 12th and 13th June 2010. Dr Sarath Ameresekera, President, SLCOG Dr Shahida Zaidi, Regional coordinator south/southeast Asia, FIGO initiative for the prevention of unsafe abortions Dr Palitha Mahipala, additional secretary , ministry of health, Sri Lanka and Dr Lakshman Senanayake Focal point, SLCOG participated. Representatives from Bangladesh, India, Nepal, Pakistan, Thailand, Maldives and Sri Lanka made presentations at the workshop.
